Inside Real Estate has taken a bold step forward with its latest acquisition, positioning itself at the forefront of AI-powered property search. This move brings industry-leading AI search technology to the company’s extensive network of brokerages, franchises, teams, and agents, setting the stage for a transformative shift in how consumers search for homes on websites, and within applications across the BoldTrail product suite.
“This tech leads the way on AI search, and this next chapter will revolutionize the entire search experience,” says Joe Skousen, Chief Executive Officer at Inside Real Estate. “Leveraging natural language search, image recognition, and other AI technology, in combination with the extensive experience we have in search across hundreds of thousands of websites, hundreds of millions of consumer experiences, and trillions of data points, unlocks a new world of data and insights. The solutions will empower our customers to unlock the most powerful and engaging search experiences for their clients, with unparalleled speed, accuracy, and engagement. It’s a huge win for us all.”
Traditional property search has long relied on rigid filters, requiring users to select parameters like price ranges, square footage, and locations in a structured format; utilizing AI search changes the game by allowing consumers to describe what they’re looking for in natural language—just as they would if speaking to an agent. This means buyers can search for “a modern farmhouse with a large backyard near good schools” rather than sifting through endless checkboxes. This is new technology that even the large portals like Zillow have found to be challenging to deploy.
The acquisition is significant because it extends these AI-powered capabilities across Inside Real Estate’s vast customer base, ensuring a broader audience benefits from a more intuitive, engaging, and accurate home search process. With AI-driven insights derived from extensive data, real estate professionals can now offer a search experience that understands what buyers want at a deeper level and presents results that match their true preferences.
This isn’t the first time a major player has embraced AI in real estate. Howard Hanna, another industry leader, integrated AI-powered tools from ListAssist to enhance search functionality and user experience.
The first US brokerage to launch the service from ListAssist is RE/MAX Advantage – Ashton Real Estate Group. I would not be surprised to see ListAssist on RE/MAX sites powered by BoldTrail in the very near future.
As AI continues to evolve, the companies that harness its capabilities effectively will redefine how real estate transactions take place.
With this acquisition, Inside Real Estate is making a clear statement: the future of property search isn’t just about listings—it’s about understanding buyers in ways that weren’t possible before. AI is here to stay, and the companies that lead the charge will shape the industry for years to come.
