With 55% of agents and brokers saying MLSs are less valuable without compensation, each MLS organization needs to step it up and improve their effectiveness at driving home their value proposition to their customers. In a time when brokers and agents are suffering with significantly decreased revenues, high mortgage rates and the threat of litigation lurking around every corner, MLSs have to come to the table with an empathetic, patient and cooperative tone.

North Carolina Regional MLS is embodying a move to reflect a humility and recognition that we are all better when we work together.  Their new name Hive MLS reflects the character and culture of their organization. They are a group that is driven by how they can consistently improve at serving the needs of their end users and the shareholder associations they partner with. Unlike some MLS brands, Hive MLS positions the company as a humble servant to the greater good and the success of the real estate professionals they serve.

I am proud to say that I played a small role in helping to deliver a brand that personifies the company’s belief that we all need to support one another to creating a thriving business.

Congrats to Daniel Jones, Patrick LaJeunese, Paula Nash, Lynne Griffin and Deborah Ward on building a culture and company worthy of such a notable brand name!
