Prior to forming her own consulting group, Marilyn was President and CEO of Surveyor Corporation, a leading provider of web camera software and hardware. While there she launched the first ever web-based remote monitoring system for families called See My Baby. She transitioned the company from a “think tank” to a viable commercial organization, commercializing several products for both the consumer and business to business marketplaces.
Prior to Surveyor, Marilyn was VP Strategic Planning and Worldwide Marketing for Fisher-Price toys. She was the company’s leading change agent assigned to several turnaround situations and new business start-ups. While there she launched over 1000 new products and four new divisions. She was responsible for marketing, and branding efforts managing a multi-million dollar marketing budget. She headed up a joint venture between Microsoft® and Fisher-Price® which produced a highly successful product line.. Marilyn also launched a highly successful eCommerce and Direct Mail business using her in-depth knowledge of direct marketing.
Marilyn is a graduate of Cornell University and is a frequent speaker there as well as California Polytechnic. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for Readia, a Kleiner-Perkins funded start-up. She is a key board member of the WITI(Women in Technology International), and serves on the Central Coast Venture Forum. She was quoted by Reuters while speaking at COMDEX about the future of Wireless services and was a contributor to the highly successful management book, AT THE HELM.
