Myra Jolivet is a storyteller. As a television news broadcaster, she delivered initial reports of the Space Shuttle Challenger tragedy on CBS Evening News, covered the fall of Enron, murders, fires, and school board meetings. As a mayoral communications appointee, she told the story of an administration working to transform the city of Houston from its urban cowboy reputation to an internationally forward urban center. And for a current member of congress, she told stories of healthcare needs.
More than two decades of experience in various aspects of communications inspired Myra to create her own style of strategic business consultation in corporate communications, media relations, media training, public relations, and strategic planning; all built on the concept of strategic storytelling.
Myra has served as Spokesperson for major corporations and organizations such as Shell Oil, Texaco, the Port of Houston, and the American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles, among others. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Public Affairs and Subscriber Services for MLSListings, Inc. of Silicon Valley. Myra has also served as Chief Communications Officer for the Houston Association of REALTORS®, and VP of Public Affairs for Pacific West Association of REALTORS®.
Myra has produced Emmy Award-winning specials during her broadcast career. In 2013, she was named to this list of 100 Most Influential Women in Silicon Valley by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. She has served as a judge of the Emmy Awards and the Golden Mike Awards of Los Angeles.
Myra is a San Francisco Bay Area native. She is also a murder mystery writer. Her whodunits combine the mysticism of her parents’ Louisiana Creole roots to her California culture.
